For the past eleven summers, Coach Mike Lonergan has conducted the Catholic University Boys & Girls Basketball Camp at CUA's DuFour Center. The camp is for both boys and girls, ages 8-16, and has been held from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, with two sessions taking place in late June and early July. (Adult supervision provided from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.)
Assisting Coach Lonergan in camp operation is his wife Maggie Meagher Lonergan. Maggie is in her third season as head coach of Catholic's women's baketball team. She was a former Division I player at Mount St. Mary's College and was captain of the 1994 Mount St. Mary's women's NCAA Tournament team. Following her playing career, she was an assistant women's basketball coach at both Mount St. Mary's and American University. Catholic assistant coaches and players as well as other college players and coaches have traditionally assisted in camp operations.
Campers are asked to bring their own lunch, except for Friday when lunch is provided. Swimming is available, and campers are encouraged to bring a bathing suit and towel.
